Beschreibung
No other German wine-growing region is so closely identified with the Kabinett as the Moselle. No wonder, as the sites between the Saar, Moselle and Ruwer are perfectly suited to provide the necessary counterpoint to the flattering residual sweetness of the original German Riesling specialty with their slate minerality. An example par excellence is the Kabinett from Maximin Grünhaus, which comes from the Abtsberg blue slate vineyard. It is one of the „Kabis? that develop real greatness despite their lightness. Floral and herbaceous tones can be found alongside chalky minerality and a hint of flintstone. This is accompanied by juicy peach fruit and 8.5 grams of acidity, which balances the impressive 77 grams of residual sugar. Now at the beginning of its drinking maturity and with potential for certainly another decade.
