The Blanc de Blancs Sekt Große Reserve 2016 from the Malat Winery is a prime example of top-quality Austrian sparkling wine. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, it comes from the best Kremstal vineyards. After traditional bottle fermentation, it matured on the lees for 60 months and presents a fine, lively mousse. Golden yellow in the glass, it smells of lemon, mandarin with zest, ripe apple, tropical fruits, white flowers, and brioche, complemented by mineral notes. On the palate, finesse, precision, depth, and structure combine with a long acidity that lasts into the finish. Perfect for blind tastings with top Champagne wines.
