Out of emotion, we bought the whole barrel on the spot. The first HERRENTROST vintage from winemaker Michi Malat and then from the exceptional 2021 vintage. Delicate stone fruit, papaya spice and some freshly mown grass on the nose. Fine yellow-fruity flavours on the palate, some yellow pepper. White pepper and a salty, mineral finish; the wine has an elegant acidity structure and is always juicy and brilliant from start to finish.
