Beschreibung
The Nussberg is located right next to the Gross family’s vineyard. It is the most important and best location for which the winery is also known. The barrel reserve was fermented spontaneously after 12 hours of mash fermentation in 600 to 2,400 liter barrels and then matured on the lees for 12 to 24 months. This was followed by further ageing in stainless steel for 32 to 52 months. The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc „Ried Nussberg Fassreserve? shows bright, clear, ripe fruit, underpinned by a distinct minerality. The wine is characterized by an impressively taut phenolic character, which is combined with a salty stoniness on the finish alongside the bright juice.
