Year after year, Antinori’s Castello della Sala winery produces one of the best Orvietos in Umbria under the direction of estate director Massimiliano Pasquini. The 2022 is a powerful, complex white wine made from the Grechetto, Procanico, Pinot Bianco and Viognier grape varieties. It smells of apple and apple pie, sage, lemon zest, honey and ginger. On the palate, the „San Giovanni della Sala‘ has a fresh and salty minerality, while at the same time being juicy and ripe with lots of fruit, citric notes and mint.
