On the nose, there is the typical and in this case subtle gooseberry, whitecurrant, but also grapefruit and a delicate smoky character that discreetly underpins the fruit. Puristically clear on the palate, without frills and with invigorating acidity. Not a Bonsche wine – this is the only way German Sauvignon should taste – definitely reminiscent of Sancerre. Wonderfully light 12.5% alcohol.
