According to the Tenuta itself, it was an almost ideal year for Bolgheri – with conditions that made it possible to harvest almost every single parcel under the best conditions and at perfect ripeness. 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot form a rich and multi-faceted wine characterised by cassis and dark fruits on the one hand and a mix of Mediterranean herbs on the other, which despite its concentration and dense tannins is precise and full of finesse. Wine Advokat also praises its richness and fullness, awarding it 96 points, while Vinous and James Suckling even give it 99 points.
