Mispel
In the nose a delicate note of apples. This noble spirit gently caresses the palate with the aroma of apples and fruitcake. There’s a light bit of tannin, but the main impression is one of cake and dried apples.
The Mispel, also known as Asperl, is a stone fruit related to the rose. The fruit is quite rare, and is not harvested until after the first frost, because of its extremely late ripening.
