The full-bodied beer impresses with its rich, chestnut-brown color and full-bodied character. The 5.3% beer flows into the glass in a strong fawn color and shimmers ruby red when the light falls on it. A stately crown of lightly tinted, creamy foam sits enthroned on the clear body and exudes a seductive aroma of roasted malt. The fine roasted aroma mingles with notes of melt-in-the-mouth men’s chocolate and sweet caramel on the nose. The first sip follows this olfactory symphony and caresses the palate with malty diversity: the taste of oven-fresh bread crust is joined by notes of toasted grain, toffee and roasted nuts. A hint of coffee elegantly rounds off the malt experience. The hops, on the other hand, contribute a fine, fruity bitterness that builds towards the end to create a tasty finish.
