In addition to the „Estate Riesling“, Philipp Wittmann also produces the „Estate Riesling vom Kalkstein“, which comes from vineyards in and around Westhofen that are all characterised by limestone. All of these estate vineyards are cultivated biodynamically as usual. The yields are impressively low for an estate wine, but the quality is all the higher. Stuart Pigott even got carried away at JAMES SUCKLING and awarded this wine 94 points for the fourth time in a row. That says a lot about this cool, chalky, elegant Riesling, which simultaneously offers so much charm, so much sensuality and energy.
