Beschreibung
The Centgrafenberg is already an exceptional location, and the directly adjacent Hundsrück is even better. Since the wine law reform and land consolidation, it was integrated into the Centgrafenberg without a trace. The vineyard has only been listed as a single vineyard again since 2011. Pure southern exposure, a slope inclination of up to 40% and a 0.5 to 3 meter thick layer of ferrous weathering on bare rock form the soil of one of the best Pinot Noir sites in Germany. The 2020 shows perfectly what characterizes it. Extremely deep, hematite-influenced minerality that gives the wine structure. Lots of power and spice – and yet radiant elegance. There is no better way to make Pinot Noir – at best, differently!
