„Linea Ars Magna‘ is the name of the top line of the Omina Romana winery, which was founded less than 20 years ago by the German entrepreneurial Börner family. The declared aim here is to produce premium wines from Lazio that also stand up to international comparison. The estate’s 2018 premium Merlot shows ripe cherry and plum fruit, spicy notes of tobacco, leather, cedar wood and dark chocolate, as well as a strong and structured tannin structure. This comes as no surprise when you realise that the carefully selected grapes are matured in 100% new French barriques for around 2 years after fermentation. The result is a complex, already highly charming Merlot with plenty of juice and potential.
