The Chardonnay Reserve from the Bründlmayer winery comes from the Langenloiser Ried Steinberg, a high plateau that adjoins the Langenlois top vineyard Steinmassl to the northwest. Accordingly, paragneiss and mica schist are also found here, covered by a layer of loess loam. The grapes were gently pressed, filled into 300-liter oak barrels, fermented and matured there and then filled into 2,500-liter barrels after six months. The wine has an intense golden yellow color and a correspondingly intense aroma of ripe stone and pome fruit, oranges and mushrooms, nuts and flint. On the palate, it is ripe and at the same time piquantly citrusy and tart, complex and precise, full of tension, spice and nuttiness. A great Austrian Chardonnay.
