More information about Vilafonté Seriously Old Dirt 2021 The Vilafonté Seriously Old Dirt sparkles a beautiful dark ruby red in the glass and reveals rich notes of raspberries, ripe strawberries and blackcurrants on the nose. Undertones of star anise, nutmeg and tobacco leaves provide a spicy component. On the palate, the red wine cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), Merlot (8%), Malbec (4%) and Cabernet Franc (2%) is beautifully soft with silky tannins and also impresses with its fruity, spicy interplay of aromas. Vilafonté Seriously Old Dirt, which has matured for eighteen months in French oak, is best enjoyed with spicy or dark meat, but this palate-pleaser is also a delight on its own.
