The powerful red wine cuvée made from Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Syrah (40%) and Cinsault (15%) impresses right from the start with well-integrated oak notes and lush fruit aromas such as dark and red berries. Spicy nuances give the Stellenzicht Acheulean Red even more complexity and a fine tannin structure ensures a pleasant mouthfeel. Enjoy Stellenzicht’s flagship wine on its own, but this multi-layered red wine is also a wonderful accompaniment to hearty dishes with dark meat or game. Incidentally, the name Acheulean comes from pear-shaped rocks with sharp edges that were found in the Stellenzicht vineyards and were used as hand axes in the Stone Age.
