The „Alttus‘ Shiraz is a wine with an extremely attractive price/performance ratio – despite its considerable price. The British wine critic Jancis Robinson tasted it blind and rated it at the same level of quality as the Australian Shiraz legend „Grange‘, and on another occasion „definitely‘ categorised it as a top wine from the northern Rhône. Either way – the „Alttus‘ is always highly attractive. 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier form the basis for the proverbial „mouthful of wine‘. Dark chocolate, blackcurrant and damson surrounded by fine minerality, smoke and spicy notes characterise its aromas, finely polished tannins its structure.
