More information about Raats MR de Compostella 2021 The Raats MR de Compostella is made from five of the best red grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), Cabernet Franc (26%), Merlot (20%), Malbec (17%) and Petit Verdot (2%). The proportions of the grape varieties were decided in a blind tasting and the result is a cuvée that impresses across the board – starting with its dark ruby red color. The nose reveals wonderful aromas of blackcurrants and cherries, enveloped by notes of violets, cedar and cinnamon. On the palate, the red wine is above all rich and complex, with flavors of blackberries and dark chocolate on the finish. The name „de Compostella“, which means the composition of the stars, indicates that not only have the best grape varieties come together in this red wine, but also points to a harmonious, consistent and linear flavor profile. This red wine is a real highlight on its own, but it is also highly recommended with dark meat or cheese dishes.
