This classic among the noble fruit distillates has been completely reinterpreted by us. This makes it taste particularly fruity and mild. The fruity plum note is complemented by a spicy cinnamon aroma, which leads to a real taste explosion both neat and as a long drink.- The basis for SissiS Zwetschge&Zimt is a fine plum brandy.- Fruit distillate made from fully ripe plums, refined with cinnamon- Particularly mild due to multi-stage maturing process- Very fruity thanks to the gentle distillation process- Can be enjoyed neat or as a long drink #MASHING PROCESSPure, fully ripe plums are carefully freed from pits, skin and stems and processed into a pure fruit puree. The fruit mash ferments with the addition of water and a special flavor-neutral yeast culture. During this process, the fruit sugar is converted into alcohol by the yeast.#DESTILLATIONThe alcoholic mash is distilled under vacuum. In this complex process, the vacuum in the still lowers the boiling point of the mash and distillation can take place at temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius. Less heat means that the fruit aroma is preserved as well as possible.#REFINEMENTThe plum brandy obtained is refined in a multi-stage process. The first step is pre-storage in steel tanks, after which the distillate is placed in large clay pots. The clay breathes, some of the alcohol rises as angelshare and the aroma condenses in the remaining distillate. The spirit is then blended with a plum brandy. This makes SissiS Zwetschge&Zimt particularly suitable for mixing with carbonated fillers such as tonic, ginger beer or prosecco. Finally, real cinnamon is added to round off the taste. The result is a deep, fruity aroma and a mild finish without the afterburn on the palate that is otherwise typical of a brandy. The blending with a spirit and the addition of cinnamon is traditionally not intended in the production of a brandy and therefore SissiS Zwetschge&Zimt bears the legal product designation of fruit spirit.
