More information about Marten Whisky BLACK FOREST RESERVE „Cask No.90“ This single malt from the Marder Distillery is already the 3rd special bottling. It has matured for 5 years and was bottled at cask strength with 54.6% vol. It was first stored/matured for around 2 years in a new American oak cask, after which it spent a further 3 years in a freshly emptied „vintage“ (similar to a port wine) cask. The fresh oak gives us slightly green notes as well as a beautiful vanilla and subtle roasted aromas. The vintage cask gives us fruity and spicy notes of plums and dried fruit. Overall, this is an exceptionally well-rounded whisky with a fine mellowness and wonderfully integrated alcohol.Due to the bottling of only one cask (single cask) and this at cask strength, this whisky rarity is limited to only 369 numbered bottles and comes to you in a fine dark wooden box.
