Lagrein is one of the typical, autochthonous grape varieties of South Tyrol and is produced at Sankt Pauls in various quality levels. This wine from the traditional line sees no wood and is rather matured in stainless steel. As a result, it presents a very direct, unvarnished varietal-typical aroma of forest fruits, violets and dark chocolate. On the palate it shows power and tannin, a deep, dark fruit and at the same time remarkable transparency and freshness. A wine from moraine debris soils at 200 to 400 meters altitude, which pairs excellently with pot roast or game dishes.
