More information about Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd 2021 The Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd is an unusual white wine cuvée made from Chenin Blanc (69%), Palomino (16%) and Grenache Blanc (15%), some of whose grapes come from old vines. The white wine sparkles in the glass in a bright straw yellow, which fades into a light green at the edge. The aroma of wild buchu, yellow fruit and mineral tones rises to the nose. On the palate, notes of green apples provide a fruity component, while the crisp acidity gives the Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd a great mouthfeel. Incidentally, „Ploegperd“ means „plough horse“ in Afrikaans, the name of the wine is reminiscent of earlier times when horses were used to work in the vineyards. Fairview Bloemcool Ploegperd is best enjoyed on its own or with grilled fish, seafood or chicken.
