The famous classification of 1855 in the Médoc has been set in stone since the beginning, unchangeable. On the one hand, it stands for continuity, but on the other hand, there are also a few wine estates that should be in a higher class today. One famous example is Château Lynch Bages. The château in the centre of Pauillac has been proving for decades that it is always one of the best in this star appellation. The 2019 „Lynch-Bages“ is a muscular wine that is so typical of Pauillac. Nevertheless, „Lynch Bages“ is also always very supple with a lot of finesse, plenty of black fruit and the typical Cabernet Sauvignon notes of liquorice and tobacco. A lot of patience is required here. But it’s worth it. After all, Lynch Bages is also famous for its longevity!
