This classic Bordeaux with artisanal finesse comes from Cadillac. On the nose, dark cherry, blackberry, violet, ironstone, graphite and dried herbs. Ripe and supple on the palate, with fine-grained, ripe tannins, cool acidity and carefully integrated oak. There is also plenty of juicy fruit from blueberries, blackberries and a hint of vanilla. The texture remains fine-grained, with a spicy, mineral finish. Peak 2027–2038, with reserves beyond that; a charming, serious vintage.
