The Munich brewers have added a sacred quadruple to their selection of the finest beers: the GREEN, YELLOW, RED and BLUE Monk now represent heavenly delights of Belgian origin. The four new additions are inspired by the world-famous beers of the Trappist monks and delight with their high alcohol content and even higher flavor density. The creations are intense in every respect.With a staggering 12.2% alcohol content, the blue monk is the strongest in the brotherhood. Its massive body has been stuffed with an incredible 60 kilograms of honey and is bursting with delicately spicy honey notes. The golden treasure comes from industrious Munich bees, is organic and gives the Honey Quadrupel not only its name but also its wonderfully velvety honey aroma.Although we would have preferred a sky blue color, we are also delighted with the deep brown copper. A delicate veil crowns the beer, which beguiles all the senses with a sensual bouquet of honey, rum-soaked raisins, melt-in-the-mouth caramel, purple plums and milk chocolate. The intense aroma results in a complex taste that is peppered with strong alcohol notes and, in addition to the powerful sweetness, has a fine acidity and hardly any bitterness.
