This beer was originally created in 1978 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Ayinger brewery. It has a golden-yellow hue and a delicate, floral yeast scent with notes of honey. The initial taste is slightly spicy and full-bodied, becoming milder before finishing with a soft sparkle and a well-balanced touch of bitterness. It is praised for its drinkability and harmonious flavour profile. Conrad Seidl, also known as the Austrian „Pope of Beers,“ describes the Jahrhundert Bier as a malty brew that showcases the unique earthiness of malted barley.
