They take around 10 years to reach harvest maturity. The name of the agave brand comes from the word „Qaaray“ in the Quechua language and means „land of agaves“. Aqará Agreste is a blanco variety for which the agave hearts are cut differently. When the leaves are separated, a little more green leaf content is left over, which ensures different flavor components in the finished distillate.
