Beschreibung
Yellow variegated sandstone determines the geology of the soil in the Wachenheimer Gerümpel, whose somewhat disrespectful-sounding name goes back to the name of the original owner: Grympel. A special, foehn-like microclimate and a certain geological similarity to the directly neighboring Pechstein are further elements that characterize the terroir. The smoky and salty-mineral character of the 2021 Gerümpel also stems from this similarity, with a hint of carambola alongside more typical yellow-fruity aromas. It is not without good reason that this vineyard is considered an insider tip and the „little brother? of Pechstein by connoisseurs.
