The fact that the 2022 vintage was an extremely successful year for Dr. Bürklin-Wolf is evident not only in the crus, but also in the local wines. The Ruppertsberger is characterized by the exciting duality of its soil. On the one hand, there is the red sandstone, which lends warmth and richness, and on the other, limestone marl, responsible for cool freshness and elegant acidity. The wine is intense and dense, with fruit characterized by citrus, quince and vineyard peach as well as a highly intense stony minerality that gives the Ruppertsberger a remarkable taut complexity.
