Beschreibung
Ruppertsberger Gaisböhl was first mentioned in a document in the 14th century. Today, the site covers around eight hectares, is planted exclusively with Riesling and is also owned exclusively by the Dr Bürklin-Wolf winery. On 5.2 hectares, the estate produces the „GC‘, as Grosse Gewächse are called here, from vines that are almost 50 years old. The south-facing site is extremely warm. Red sandstone weathering with gravel and clay seams provide the perfect Riesling terroir. The Gaisböhl fascinates with citric and exotic fruit flavours in a juicy fullness that is never overpowering thanks to its cool herbal tones. It offers – especially in the magnum or double magnum – storage potential for around two decades.
