Although the 2022 „Sassicaia? comes from a warm to hot year, Tenuta San Guido has managed to produce a finely polished Bolgheri with moderate alcohol. Still youthful and shining in a typically bright magenta hue, it clearly has the potential to become one of the wines of the vintage. The nose is seductively herbal – rosemary, thyme, sage – alongside forest floor, moss, sour cherries, and black cherries. On the palate, „Sassicaia? is sensual, elegant, silky, and absolutely precise.
