Fonseca Guimaraens is one of the best houses in Porto. The Vintage Ports are known for their fine fruit, high elegance and, in some years, an almost Mosel wine-like slate aroma. At a young age, sweet ripe fruit is in the foreground here. Especially blackcurrant and plum. But everything runs on an extremely silky, elegant level, with a great deal of finesse. 2016 is a splendid specimen with 97/100 Parker points!
