As it lacks a counterpart, it clings together and the pearl shape is formed. The pearl bean is particularly strong as it can use the pulp for itself during growth. Harvesting is considerably more complex, which also makes the price of the pearl bean somewhat expensive.The pearl bean has a strong and spicy fullness, with a slightly chocolaty note.
