Right from the start, the white wine from Cos d’Estournel was completely different from all other white wines from the Médoc. While a Pavillon Blanc, for example, is always very restrained at the beginning and only shows its class after years of ageing, the spectacular and exotic aromas are thrilling right from the start. The wine captivates you immediately! However, it never comes across as artificial or even dropsy. In addition to exotic fruits, there is an animating salty minerality and incredibly juicy freshness.
