Barley Dessert is the twentieth anniversary beer in the After Hours series! On this occasion, we decided to look differently at the unusual beer style that is Barley Wine.Barley Wine is a species that combines the characteristics of both wine and beer, which is why it is also called “barley wine” (literal translation). The intention of its former creators was to offer connoisseurs a beer that could compete with wine.Inspired by its taste and the history of brewing, we decided to add dates to it, which were used in brewing 6,000 years ago. Barley Dessert owes its unusual, full taste to special strains of top-fermented yeast, malt mix, a combination of Polish and American hop varieties. It also gains its uniqueness due to a very long aging process.It is a beer with a full, rich, malty taste and delicate bitterness, a distinct aroma of raisins, fruits, noticeable notes of wine (port), caramel and malt.Its warming character we want to take you to a sunny oasis in the middle of the Sumerian desert.Try it, but maybe you prefer to keep this bottle in your collection and keep it for the right moment?
